Job summary

EY in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Data Engineer (Senior Consultant or Manager) to design, build, and operate scalable data architectures for on-premises or cloud environments. You will translate business needs into technical requirements and liaise between stakeholders and engineers to ensure alignment with the intended design.

Key responsibilities include delivering data platform projects, meeting performance targets, and potentially coordinating junior colleagues.

Qualifications

• Databricks certification or equivalent data engineering experience.
• Experience with data warehouses, data lakes, data fabrics and data hubs.
• Proficient in SQL and Python; familiar with Spark/PySpark.
• Knowledge of real-time/streaming data (Kafka, Flink, Kinesis).
• Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines and offshore delivery teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable data architectures on-premises or cloud.
• Translate business requirements into technical specs and ensure alignment with design.
