Data Platform Engineer for AI-Driven Finance

Job summary

Adecco in Hong Kong seeks a data platform engineer to build and enhance data platform solutions, including data virtualization, visualization and a data lake. You will drive POC testing, develop services and integrate APIs in a CD environment, collaborating with Architects, Platform Engineers and Product Owners.

You will partner with AI and Data Engineers to deploy AI applications and data pipelines, focusing on scalable, secure delivery for a financial services context.

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science, software engineering, or related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience in data platform development.
• Experience delivering large-scale data infrastructure, preferably in hundreds of TB.
• Experience in system design and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience in designing, implementing and managing DevOps pipelines in a large-scale enterprise.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, AliCloud) and any relevant certification is a plus.
• Experience implementing data security such as encryption and anonymization is a plus.
• Programming skills in Java, Node.js or Python.
• Scripting: Bash or PowerShell.
• CICD: Jenkins, JIRA, Sonar, Git, Ansible.
• Test frameworks: jMeter, jUnit, PyTest.
• Experience in international teams and financial services is a plus.
• Excellent communication and data-driven thinking.

Responsibilities

• Building and enhancing data platform solutions including data virtualization, data visualization and data lake.
• Conduct data platform proof-of-concept and acceptance testing.
• Develop services and integrate them with internal and external APIs / MCPs.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies to improve performance, maintainability and scalability.
• Work closely with Architects, Platform Engineers and Product Owners in a continuous delivery environment.
• Collaborate with AI Engineer, Data Engineer and business stakeholders to assist in development and deployment of AI applications and data pipelines.
