Job summary

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an experienced administrator to support a major project. The role centers on meeting coordination, bilingual document preparation, and robust document control.

You will prepare English and Chinese papers, manage project data, and handle logistics for Kwu Tung North at Queensway Government Offices. Degree holder with 5+ years experience and familiarity with government procedures preferred.

Qualifications

• A degree from a local university, or equivalent.
• At least five years post-qualification experience in construction, administration or HR.
• Strong written and spoken Chinese and English, with HKCEE Grade D or higher.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
• Experience in Government work is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with all parties and act as secretary for meetings.
• Prepare papers and reports in English and Chinese for the projects.

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited (“the Company” or “China State Hong Kong”) started its construction business in Hong Kong in 1979. The Company engages in building construction and civil engineering works. China State Hong Kong is among the largest construction contractors in Hong Kong, and is approved by the Works Bureau, to be on the List of Approved Contractors (Group C) for Public Works in the five major categories of building and civil engineering works, namely, “Buildings”, “Port Works”, “Roads and Drainage”, “Site Formation” and “Waterworks”.

Work Location: Queensway Government Offices

Job Duties

• to liaise and co-ordinate with all parties concerned and act as the secretary for various meetings and committees;
• to prepare papers, reports and documents in both English and Chinese for the projects;
• to provide document control and maintain project data records;
• to work on logistics concerning the implementation of the projects, including processing and dissemination of project information;
• to perform other administrative duties as and when required.

Qualifications

• a degree from a local university, or equivalent;
• at least five years relevant post-qualification experience in one or more of the following areas (i) building construction field; (ii) office administration and management; (iii) human resource management; (iv) administration of information systems or computer network;
• good oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English, with Grade D or above in both Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
• sound knowledge in computer application such as Microsoft Word, Changjei Input Method, Microsoft Project, Excel and Powerpoint; and
• relevant experience in the Government is an advantage.
