Job summary

Harriman Property Management Limited, a Wheelock Properties subsidiary, is seeking a senior accounting professional to oversee the full set of accounts in a property management environment in Hong Kong.

You will supervise multiple teams, prepare month-end close, manage financial reporting and tax matters, and liaise with auditors. A degree in accounting and HKICPA/ACCA qualification with 10 years’ relevant exp are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• HKICPA/ACCA or related qualification.
• Strong in Excel; macros and pivot tables; knowledge of Flex and Fion.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, supervise, and lead several teams to carry out daily accounting operations including financial statement close, analysis, reporting and tax compliance.
• Prepare and review month-end closing, quarterly reporting, interim and annual deliverables for Board/Management.
• Review and approve tax matters before submission to authorities; interpret tax planning and ensure compliance.
• Prepare annual budgeting, rolling forecast, and financial and management reports.
• Provide analytical review of financial data and offer strategic solutions for management.
• Liaise with auditors and other professional parties; perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, supervise, and lead several teams to carry out daily accounting operations but not limited to the financial statement close process, financial analysis, reporting and tax compliance matters


• Prepare and review month-end closing, quarterly reporting, interim and annual deliverables, including financial information for the Board/Management


• Review and approve Tax matters before providing them to the tax authority. Interpret tax planning and ensure compliance


• Prepare annual budgeting, rolling forecast, financial and management reports


• Provide analytical review based on financial data and provide strategic solutions for management


• Liaise with auditors and other professional parties


• Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or a related discipline


• At least 10 years of relevant experience gained from property management industry


• Qualified member of HKICPA/ACCA or related professional qualifications


• Strong in excel - macro and pivot table and Flex accounting system and Fion


• Strong analytical mind, well-organized, able to work under pressure, and manage tight timelines


• High proficiency in accounting technical, taxation, and companies ordinance knowledge


• Good leadership and interpersonal and collaboration skills, with effective communication abilities with business units and senior executives


• High proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese


• Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Accounting Manager
