Job summary

Thakral One in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Accountant to lead financial consolidations, prepare statements, and support audits, forecasts, and budgets. You will ensure IFRS compliance, manage tax filings, and provide operational analyses while liaising with auditors, bankers, and group companies.

The role requires 4–5 years in consolidations, experience with listed/MNCs or sizable audit firms, and membership in HKICPA or ACCA.

Job description

As a Senior Accountant, you will perform financial consolidations, prepare financial statements, and support audits, forecasts, and budgets for the Group. You will ensure compliance with IFRS standards, manage tax filings, and provide operational analyses while liaising with auditors, bankers, and group companies.

What You'll Do and How You'll Succeed

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end consolidations.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and accounting schedules.
• Assist in preparation of interim and annual results.
• Prepare operational analyses and management reports.

Audit & Compliance

• Coordinate with external auditors for interim and annual audits.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards.
• Handle tax filings and support regulatory requirements.

Forecasting & Budgeting

• Prepare financial forecasts and budgets.
• Consolidate group budgets and forecasts.
• Provide insights to support business planning.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Liaise with bankers, auditors, and group companies.
• Support ad‑hoc assignments as required by the company.

Experience

• You have 4–5 years of experience in financial consolidations.
• You have worked in listed companies, MNCs, or sizable audit firms.
• You are a member of HKICPA, ACCA, or equivalent.

Technical Expertise

• You have solid knowledge of complex manual consolidations for multiple subsidiaries.
• You are proficient in IFRS accounting standards.
• You understand month‑end processes and internal controls.
• You are proficient in MS Office.
• You have experience with Oracle JD Edwards (JDE) EnterpriseOne ERP (advantage).
