Job summary

PCCW LTD in Hong Kong is looking for a qualified Accountant to develop and manage the budgeting and forecasting process for a newly launched product under Mox Bank. The ideal candidate will analyze financial data and monitor business performance while ensuring compliance with accounting best practices.

The position requires strong leadership and communication skills, with a minimum of 8 years of experience preferred in e-Commerce or retail. Fluency in English and Chinese is necessary, and familiarity with Oracle or Hyperion is a plus.

Your role

• Develop and manage the budgeting and forecasting process, including revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures for the newly launched product under the digital venture (Mox Bank).
• Analyze financial and operational data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management, including identifying trends, risk and opportunities.
• Monitor business performance and support Business Unit to drive business performance, strategic initiatives and meet annual targets.
• Manage financial accounting activities, including month-end closing, journal posting, internal recharging and monthly reporting.
• Comply with appropriate business processes and accounting best practices to maintain and strengthen controls.

To succeed in this role

• Qualified Accountant with Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
• 8+ years related experience; e-Commerce/ retail/ loyalty reward program experience preferred but not a must.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, independent, committed, with good business acumen.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate financial information into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Oracle/ Hyperion/AI experience is a plus.
• Fluency in English and Chinese.
