Job summary

General Security (HK) Limited is seeking a highly experienced Security Manager to oversee the physical security operations of our premises. The role requires direct communication with Management Office and drafting executive-level reports.

Exceptional fluency in both spoken and written English is a strict requirement, with a strong leadership presence to manage security, fire and safety across daily operations and events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in security with at least 4 years in management.
• Education up to tertiary level; degree in security or related discipline preferred.
• Deep knowledge of physical security systems and crisis management.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Valid Security Personnel Permit; First Aid/CPR/AED certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide directions and leadership for the security team to ensure smooth daily operation and events held in workplace.
• Shoulder up the accountability of overall performance of Service Level Agreement and outcome specifications.
• Manage, monitor, and provide performance feedback to team members.
• Recognize team members who exceed expectation, coach team members, and administer appropriate discipline to those getting issues.
• Ensure all activities and events are run in secure and safe environment by stipulating security plans.
• Develop and arrange security, fire, and safety training activities to the security personnel, especially the newly joined members.
• Act as the overall site security commander including the incident and emergency events management, monitoring of the staff and work quality, reviewing deployment plan, reviewing work procedures and communication with Management Office.
• Stipulate and review security related procedures and guidelines.
• Act as communication bridge between contractor and Management Office.
• Implement ad hoc instructions upon the request of Management Office.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: be of a minimum educational standard of up to tertiary education background insecurity management or related discipline or equivalent will be an advantage.
• Experience: minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in the security profession with at least 4 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
• Technical Skills: deep operational knowledge of modern physical security systems and crisis management frameworks.
• Soft Skills: strong authoritative presence, exceptional problem-solving capabilities, and the capacity to remain calm and decisive under extreme pressure.
• Computer skills: be proficient in MS Office applications including Word and Excel
• Certifications: holder of a valid Security Personnel Permit issued by the Security and Guarding Services Ordinance. Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications are highly preferred.
