Job summary

Tower Research Capital seeks a candidate with a strong background in computer science and finance to own and enhance security referential data for its global trading footprint. You will work closely with trading teams to diagnose issues, automate improvements, and ensure robust referential infrastructure.

The role requires Python, SQL, UNIX proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in the financial trading industry.
• Rich experience with security referential data across asset classes (equities, derivatives, FX, fixed income, crypto).
• Brilliant problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Strong expertise in SQL databases.
• Familiarity with UNIX environment and shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver security referential data needs for Tower’s global trading footprint as a subject matter expert.
• Analyze production issues and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and develop automation to improve the platform.
• Interact with trading teams and users to handle issues.
• Strengthen and maintain Tower’s security referential infrastructure for trading and back-office needs.
• Take end-to-end ownership: development, testing, release, and support.
