Job summary

Leighton Asia is seeking an Occupational Health & Safety professional in Hong Kong to monitor and implement safety plans, ensuring compliance with guidelines and reporting on site conditions. The role involves regular inspections, incident investigations, and advising management on preventive measures.

The candidate will identify unsafe activities, provide regulatory guidance, and deliver in-house safety trainings in a bilingual environment (English/Chinese).

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related discipline.
• At least 2 years’ experience in main contractors.
• Good command of English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and implement Occupational Health & Safety plans on construction sites.
• Monitor compliance with safety standards and guidelines.
• Conduct regular site inspections and report or resolve issues.
• Conduct incident investigations and advise management on preventive measures.
• Identify and stop unsafe activities and advise on regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and deliver in-house Occupational Health & Safety trainings.

Job description

Responsible for monitoring and implementation of the Occupational Health & Safety plans

Monitoring compliance of the construction activity with safety standards and Occupational Health & Safety guidelines

Conducting regular inspections of construction sites and reporting & resolving relevant issues

Conducting incident investigation and advise project management on reoccurrence preventive measures

Identifying and stopping unsafe activities

Monitoring and advising project management in compliance with Company’s Occupational Health & Safety framework

Advising project management on regulatory requirements and contractual obligations while minimizing health & safety related risks

Preparing and deliver inhouse Occupational Health and Safety trainings

Job Requirements

Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related discipline

At least 2 years’ experience in main contractors

Good command of English and Chinese
