Job summary

Deloitte China provides integrated professional services with over 20,000 professionals across 31 Chinese cities. We are seeking a Clerk of Works assistant in Hong Kong to support site supervision, quality checks, and reporting.

The role involves handling lab tests, site audits, and coordination with the Administration Department. Ideal candidates hold a Certificate in Building Studies or equivalent and have about 3 years of relevant Hong Kong experience.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Building Studies or equivalent.
• 3 years' relevant experience in Hong Kong.

• Assist in the supervision of Contract Works including setting out, leveling, cuttings, footings and excavations.
• Assist in the supervision of mixing, placing and curing of concrete.
• Assist in the supervision of concrete cubes and steel bar testing.

Work you’ll do

• Assist in the supervision of Contract Works including checking of setting out, leveling, cuttings, footings and excavations by contractors

• Assist in the supervision of mixing, placing and curing of concrete

• Assist in the supervision of the making of concrete cubes and the cutting of steel bars by the contractors for subsequent testing

• Assist in the recording of labour, materials and plant delivered to site for compilation of site records by the Clerk of Works

• Escort the delivery of concrete cubes and other building materials to laboratories for testing as instructed

• Keep approval samples in lockable storage and check against the materials delivered to site

• Witness all site tests

• Attend site audits as required

• Carry out all such other duties as directed by the Consultant and Clerk of Works

• Assists RCOW in performing the required environmental and safety duties

• Report in person to cluster/hospital/Head Office Administration Department facility management in-charge at weekly interval to brief him/her on what RSS had inspected or done
