Job summary

Centre for Immunology & Infection - C2i in Hong Kong invites applications for Research Assistant I/II on a one-year contract basis, with the possibility of renewal based on performance.

The role includes assisting in routine fieldwork sampling and genomic sequencing, surveillance work, data recording, and coordinating laboratory tasks. Candidates should hold a bachelor degree or above in related sciences, have good IT skills, and be fluent in English and Chinese (including Mandarin).

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a bachelor degree or above in a biological field or related discipline.
• Good IT skills and computer literacy are required.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is preferred.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new techniques.

Research Assistant I/Research Assistant II (Ref.: C2i130-RP3)

Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant I/Research Assistant II on a one‑year contract basis, with the possibility of renewal based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in routine fieldwork sampling and genomic sequencing.
• Perform surveillance work, basic sample processing, fieldwork equipment maintenance, laboratory tasks coordination, data recording, entry and database maintenance.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above, preferably in Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, Public Health, Laboratory Techniques, or related disciplines.
• Good computer knowledge and IT skills.
• Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin).
• Self‑motivation, strong sense of responsibility, and willingness to learn new techniques.
• Experience in fieldwork or molecular biology related to biological research studies is advantageous.
