Job summary

Gate is a global digital asset exchange and Web3 ecosystem serving users across international markets. This remote role reports to the Head of HR Operations and focuses on building practical HR infrastructure for multiple jurisdictions, owning employee lifecycle, payroll, and vendor operations.

As a senior contributor, you will translate complex local requirements into clear templates, SOPs, and guidance for HR teams and stakeholders, enabling scalable, compliant people operations worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above with 5+ years in multi-country HR operations or HR consulting.
• Hands-on payroll and cross-border employment-law experience in 1–2 international markets, incl. Hong Kong.
• Ability to research multi-jurisdiction employment regulations and convert them into usable knowledge bases, templates, SOPs, policies, and control checklists.
• Experience managing the full employee lifecycle and complex cross-border cases.
• Fluent Mandarin and English with strong documentation and stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

• Research employment rules across markets and build a structured knowledge base.
• Develop localized templates, contracts, letters, and leave policies.
• Create onboarding and offboarding SOPs with ownership and timelines.
• Conduct due diligence for new-market entry and EOR/PEO onboarding.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle operations across international markets.
• Manage payroll operations including taxes, contributions, and reconciliations.
• Manage international HR vendors and contract discussions.
• Collaborate with HRBPs, Finance, and advisers to ensure accurate HR transactions.
