Job summary

Levin Human Resources Development Limited is seeking a Senior Financial Management Manager/Assistant Manager to oversee regulatory reporting and financial compliance for a PRC bank in Hong Kong. You will ensure adherence to HKMA guidelines, lead data governance initiatives, and drive improvements across internal controls and reporting platforms.

The role requires 8+ years in regulatory reporting with leadership experience, strong understanding of HKMA Basel requirements, IFRS 9, and fluent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field with professional certificates preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in regulatory reporting, with 2+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record in the Hong Kong banking sector, with exposure to retail, corporate, or investment banking.
• In-depth understanding of HKMA regulations and Basel requirements, familiarity with IFRS 9 & CFT frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills with expertise in data analysis tools, as well as proficiency in regulatory reporting platforms.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance Oversight: ensure adherence to regulatory reporting requirements and lead preparation/submission of statutory reports.
• Data Governance & Quality: oversee data integrity and timeliness of submissions, collaborate with IT/data teams for governance standards.
• Internal Controls: identify and mitigate risks in reporting processes, align with policies and external regulations.
• Technology & Innovation: lead evaluation/implementation of reporting tools and drive automation to reduce manual processes.
• Prepare statutory financial reports per HKMA guidelines and monitor movements of the bank’s assets/liabilities.
• Assist in setting up/improving financial compliance and MIS to meet HKMA and Banking Ordinance requirements.
