Job summary

Polymer Capital Management, a Asia-focused asset management firm, seeks a Compliance Specialist to support license applications, regulatory filings, and policy administration. The role requires at least 2 years in compliance within brokerage or asset management, strong analytical and communication abilities, and fluency in English and Japanese.

Qualifications

• University graduate with major in Business, Finance or Law.
• At least 2 years of experience in compliance, preferably in brokerage or asset management firms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
• Proactive in identifying risks and proposing solutions. Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite Excel, Bloomberg.
• Fluent in English and Japanese.

Responsibilities

• Handle license applications, regulatory filings and reports.
• Assist with the development, implementation and administration of the Group compliance framework and policies.
• Conduct monitoring and surveillance of trading activities to detect and prevent market abuse, insider trading and other violations.
• Investigate and resolve alerts generated by trade surveillance systems, and elevate any potential issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Work on regional projects including system UAT, new investment models discussion, or system development.
• Conduct or assist with ad-hoc inspections and regulatory requests.
