Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Compliance Manager / Operational Risk Manager for the Southeast Asian Management Division. The role oversees risk governance, regulatory compliance and operational risk across SEA entities, ensuring adherence to group standards and local regulations.

You will collaborate with country teams, report to regional leadership, monitor regulatory developments, and drive risk remediation and governance across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree holder or above, preferably with risk management or regulatory compliance background.
• 4 years of working experience in financial institutions preferred, with regional exposure a plus.
• Experience implementing operational risk frameworks.
• Understanding of the various lines of business in a commercial bank.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese with good communication skills.
• Mandatory Reference Checking for regulated roles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide implementation of operational risk frameworks across SEA entities.
• Identify emerging operational risk and ensure mitigation aligned with Basel III standards.
• Oversee SEA entities' framework for compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Monitor regulatory developments and supervise corrective measures and transparency.
• Drive adoption of group risk policies across SEA entities and align local practices.
• Consolidate regional risk data into executive reports for regional leadership.
• Collaborate with country-level compliance risk teams to embed risk awareness.
• Oversee responses to audits and regulatory inquiries with root-cause analysis.
• Participate in regional meetings addressing cross-border risk challenges.
