Job summary

Morgan Stanley Asia Limited's Equities E-Trading Platform seeks a Senior KDB+/q Developer to design, build, and maintain KDB+/q components that support real-time data capture and analytics.

You will deliver enhancements across the full software lifecycle with a focus on reliability and data correctness, investigate production issues, and improve platform observability, backfill/recovery workflows, and performance of data pipelines.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of KDB+/q experience with large financial datasets.
• Unix/Linux experience for production environments.
• Understanding of KDB architecture and time-series data workflows.
• Experience supporting process-oriented production systems.
• Ability to work directly with front-office users in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain KDB+/q components for real-time data capture and analytics.
• Deliver end-to-end software lifecycle with reliability and data correctness.
• Investigate production and data-quality issues and implement durable fixes.
• Improve observability, monitoring, logging, and backfill/recovery workflows.
• Optimize q queries and data pipelines for performance and scalability.
