Job summary

Penta-Ocean Construction Co Ltd in Hong Kong seeks a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee on-site quality compliance, ensuring works meet project specifications and drawings. You will manage subcontractor QA standards and serve as the key quality advisor to the Project-in-charge.

Qualifications

• University degree in science/engineering/construction is required.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive construction QA/QC experience.
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor training or certification.
• Strong spoken and written English & Chinese communication.

Job description

The Quality Assurance Manager oversees all on-site quality compliance to ensure works meet project specifications. The role manages subcontractor QA standards, prepares tender quality documents, enforces site document control, and runs Quality audits. Serving as the key quality advisor to the Project-in-charge, this position tracks client complaints and ensures prompt resolution to deliver defect-free construction.

Responsibilities

Monitor overall on-site quality management continuously to ensure full compliance with contract specifications, drawings, and approved method statements;

Identify non-conformances, enforce site corrective actions, and resolve day-to-day quality issues across all active trades and packages;

Assess project specifications during tender stages to identify quality-related risks, inspection hold points, and testing requirements.;

Implement and manage site document control procedures in line with the company’s Quality Management System (QMS);

Plan and conduct internal Quality Audits to evaluate process adherence, testing integrity, and site execution standards;

Act as the key advisor to the Project Manager (or designated delegate) on the operational performance and effectiveness of the on-site Quality System.

Requirements

University degree in science / engineering / construction discipline

Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in construction QA/QC management

ISO 9001 Internal Auditor training, membership in relevant quality / engineering-chartered institution

Good interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills

Good Command in spoken and written English & Chinese
