Job summary

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Senior/Deputy Project Manager to lead overall project delivery, coordinating design, construction interfaces, and value engineering. You will manage subcontractors, interfaces with consultants, and oversee testing and handover.

Project Manager (Senior/Deputy) (Hong Kong or Singapore based)

Manage the overall delivery of the project or a major section, covering both technical management and construction, reporting to the Project Director.

Lead the technical management of the project, including design coordination, review of design and shop drawings, technical submissions and material approvals.

Coordinate architectural, structural and MEP interfaces, and resolve technical issues and RFIs with consultants and the design team.

Review construction methods and method statements, and drive value engineering and buildability improvements.

Plan and control the programme and resources with the planning team, and put recovery measures in place where needed.

Manage subcontractors and nominated subcontractors, covering package procurement, technical scope and performance.

Support the commercial team with contract administration, variations and EOT substantiation.

Oversee testing & commissioning, authority inspections (e.g. TOP / CSC in Singapore, OP in Hong Kong) and handover.

Lead and develop the project team.

Requirements:

Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.

15+ years of construction experience, preferably with a main contractor.

Solid technical knowledge of building regulations, design coordination and construction practices in Singapore or Hong Kong.

Good command of written and spoken English; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.

Experience on design-and-build projects and with contract forms such as PSSCOC, SIA or NEC is an advantage.

Experience with prefabrication methods (PPVC, PBU, MiC, MiMEP) is an advantage.

Professional membership such as MCIOB, MHKIE or PE is an advantage.

BIM experience and knowledge are preferred.

Prior experience in public sector building projects and/or hospitals and healthcare facilities (public or private), including works in operating hospitals, will be considered a strong advantage.
