SW Technologies Limited is seeking a Project Manager (IT Project - Hardware + Software) in Hong Kong to lead multi-disciplined initiatives involving hardware and software integration. Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems.
• Knowledge of software coding and system infrastructure is a must.
• Experience in hardware/electronics/IoT/vendor projects is preferred.
• Basic understanding of electronics, embedded systems, APIs, databases, cloud systems.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Proficiency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office and familiar with PM tools.

Responsibilities

• Understand vendor discussions, ask technical questions, identify risks, and drive vendors to deliver.
• Monitor and coordinate projects across hardware, firmware, mobile apps, backend systems, and cloud platforms.
• Act as main coordination point between management, hardware vendors, electronics suppliers, software vendors, manufacturers, and partners.
• Review vendor proposals, timelines, and deliverables to identify risks or integration issues.
• Track milestones, dependencies, issues, and vendor follow-ups.
• Coordinate hardware-software integration testing and deployment readiness.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, risk logs, meeting notes, and progress reports.
• Communicate status, risks, blockers, and next actions to management and vendors.

Project Manager (IT Project - Hardware + Software)

• The candidate is not required to perform hands-on engineering work, but must be able to understand vendor discussions, ask the right technical questions, challenge unclear answers, identify risks early, and drive vendors to deliver.
• Monitor and coordinate projects across mechanical design, electronics, hardware components, firmware, mobile applications, backend systems, cloud platforms, testing, and deployment activities.
• Act as the main coordination point between internal management, external hardware vendors, electronics suppliers, software vendors, manufacturers, and implementation partners.
• Understand basic electronics and hardware concepts, including sensors, power supplies, battery systems, wiring, microcontrollers, PCBs, communication modules, and device integration.
• Review vendor proposals, technical documents, quotations, timelines, and deliverables to identify potential risks, missing details, unrealistic assumptions, or integration issues.
• Track project milestones, task ownership, dependencies, open issues, testing results, and vendor follow-up actions.
• Coordinate hardware-software integration testing, including device functionality, mobile application connectivity, backend API communication, network configuration, data flow, and deployment readiness.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project schedules, issue logs, risk registers, meeting notes, vendor requirement documents, testing checklists, deployment checklists, and progress reports.
• Communicate project status, risks, blockers, and next actions clearly to management and vendors.

Job Requirements

• Degree holder in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information system or related disciplines.
• Knowledge of software coding and system infrastructure is a must.
• Experience in managing hardware, electronics, IoT, smart device, retail technology, or vendor-based technology projects is preferred.
• Basic understanding of electronics, mechanical design, embedded systems, software development, APIs, databases, cloud systems is required.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with common project management tools.
