MCG Asia is seeking a Project Manager to oversee education and philanthropy initiatives in Hong Kong. You will lead planning, delivery, and governance across multiple stakeholders including government bodies, schools, NGOs, and partners to drive measurable social impact.

The role requires 6–10+ years in project or programme management, strong governance, budgeting, and excellent communication in English and Cantonese.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above.
  • Approximately 6–10+ years of experience in project management.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Exposure to education, charitable, non-profit sectors would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong stakeholder management across government, educational institutions, NGOs, and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage education, talent development, and community-focused programmes from planning through implementation.
  • Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within scope.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, educational institutions, NGOs, community organisations, and other strategic partners.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive collaboration and achieve programme objectives.
  • Support the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement initiatives, promotional activities, events, and communications to increase awareness and programme participation.
  • Monitor project performance, prepare progress updates, reports, presentations, and governance documentation for senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Assist with budgeting, procurement, vendor management, and contract administration where required.
  • Coordinate programme evaluation, impact measurement, and reporting to support continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing initiatives and contribute to the development of new education and social impact programmes.
  • Ensure effective project governance, risk management, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

About the Role

Our client is a leading organisation committed to creating meaningful social impact through education, talent development, and community initiatives. They work closely with government bodies, educational institutions, NGOs, and strategic partners to develop and deliver programmes that empower individuals, strengthen communities, and drive long-term positive change.

They are looking for a Project Manager to support the planning, delivery, and ongoing management of education and community-focused initiatives. This role will oversee multiple projects from planning through execution, working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery, effective governance, and measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience collaborating across government, educational institutions, NGOs, and external partners.
  • Excellent organisational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in budgeting, reporting, vendor management, or governance is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and written Chinese) is preferred.
