Job summary

Wafer Systems (Asia) Limited in Hong Kong invites a senior project manager to lead a workstream in a large-scale government systems project. You will guide day-to-day project management, coordinate a multi-disciplinary team, and liaise with subcontractors and stakeholders to keep delivery on track.

The ideal candidate has over 21 years in IT with at least 9 in PM, holds PM certifications, and is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin with strong English writing.

Qualifications

• Over 21+ years IT experience with 9+ years in project management.
• Holder of PM certificates such as PMP, PSM, PRINCE II or equivalent.
• Track record delivering at least one application delivery or system integration project spanning 2+ years with onshore and offshore teams.
• Experience managing large teams and multiple subcontractors in a government or large-scale program.
• Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin; good written English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Lead one workstream in a large-scale Government systems project and manage day-to-day PM activities.
• Oversee project team members and sub-contractors locally and offshore.
• Manage stakeholders including customer IT and business users, subcontractors and other internal departments.

Track record of successful delivery of at least one application delivery and/or systems integration project with the following characteristics:

• spanning over 2 years
• 40 members, onshore and offshore teams
• multiple subcontractors and suppliers
• 5 years team management experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Self initiative, result oriented and always able to deliver to commitment

Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, good written English and Chinese is a MUST

Possess one of the followings will be an added advantage

• government project experience on the vendor side
• broad technical knowledge of different disciplines such as infrastructure, network, security, agile
