Job summary

A prominent telecom carrier in Hong Kong is seeking a Project Manager with at least 15 years of experience in the IT/Telecom industry. This role involves overall project management, integration oversight, stakeholder liaison, and ensuring timely delivery of project deliverables. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of project parameters and strong analytical skills. Fluency in English, Chinese, and Mandarin is preferred. Candidates with less experience may be considered for a different position.

Qualifications

• Degree or above in Computer Studies / Electrical Engineering / Telecommunications.
• At least 15 years of relevant experience in IT / Telecommunication industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
• Experience in cloud/virtualization infrastructure projects.
• Ability to coordinate cross-team and manage budgets and schedules.
• Strong communication in English and Chinese; Mandarin preferred.

Job Description

• In charge the overall project management in the implementation of the System and oversee integration among the teams
• Good understanding on the project definition and scope statement, define and develop project plan, assign resources to the project overall monitor and control the quality, progress and schedule of the project
• Liaise with different stakeholders regarding requirements definition, best practices in system development, performance measurement and management

Job Requirements

• Degree or above in Computer Studies / Electrical Engineering /Telecommunications
• At least 15 years of relevant experience in IT / Telecommunication industry, at least 11 years of functional or specialty experience in IT project management
• Experience in managing Cloud / virtualization infrastructure implementation projects, IT system implementation & maintenance projects and IT infrastructure /e‑commerce implementation projects
• Maintain good working relationships with both technical and non-technical users
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, self‑motivated and able to work under pressure
• Good command of both spoken and written English & Chinese. Fluent in Mandarin is an advantage

Less experience candidate will be considered to Project Manager

Responsibilities (Project Manager)

• Responsible for the day‑to‑day project management in taking forward the implementation and integration of the System
• Conduct project tracking and control, resolve project issues, apply quality control management
• Liaise with all relevant parties for the implementation, and ensure the project deliverables are provided on time
• Responsible for the overall management and quality assurance to ensure the successful implementation of the system and completion of the contract
• Min 11 years of IT working experience & with 6 years+ Experience in managing IT infrastructure or e‑commerce implementation projects - (1) total contract value of not less than HK$10 million in a single project; and (2) team size of at least 10 IT staff in a single project
• Experience in managing cloud or virtualization infrastructure implementation projects is an advantage
