Job summary

The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) seeks a Project Lead, Event Management and Marketing to plan and deliver a flagship awards and engagement programme in Hong Kong. You will manage projects, stakeholders and marketing for a high-profile initiative, reporting to the Head of Membership & Business Development.

The role requires strong event delivery skills, knowledge of English and Chinese, and the ability to liaise with senior executives and government partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in event management, project management, marketing or stakeholder engagement.
• Proven experience managing large-scale corporate events, conferences or award programmes.
• Experience working with senior executives, government representatives and industry leaders is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning, coordination and execution of a flagship awards and engagement programme.
• Develop and manage timelines, budgets, workflows and deliverables for successful execution.
• Coordinate event logistics, venue management, registration and onsite operations.
• Manage external vendors and service providers to ensure quality delivery.
• Support award presentations, judging activities, networking events and briefings.

About the Role

The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Lead, Event Management and Marketing to support the planning, promotion and execution of one of Hong Kong's flagship business recognition and engagement programmes. Reporting to the Head of Membership & Business Development, the successful candidate will take ownership of project management, stakeholder engagement, marketing communications and event delivery. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior business leaders, industry representatives, government officials and strategic partners in delivering a high-profile initiative that celebrates business excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Event Delivery

• Lead the end-to-end planning, coordination and execution of a flagship awards and business engagement programme.
• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, workflows and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
• Coordinate event logistics, venue management, registration, production requirements, catering and onsite operations.
• Manage external vendors, agencies and service providers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Support the organisation of award presentations, judging activities, networking events, briefings and ceremonial functions.

Marketing & Communications

• Develop and implement integrated marketing and communications strategies to drive programme awareness, participation and attendance.
• Prepare promotional materials including EDMs, social media content, website updates, presentations and event collateral.
• Coordinate media relations and publicity opportunities with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor campaign performance and recommend initiatives to enhance audience engagement and programme visibility.

Stakeholder & Partnership Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate members, strategic partners, industry associations and government stakeholders.
• Liaise with speakers, judges, VIP guests and participating organisations.
• Handle stakeholder enquiries professionally and ensure a high standard of service delivery.

Programme Administration

• Manage participant registration, communications and database administration.
• Coordinate committee meetings, judging arrangements and stakeholder briefings.
• Ensure accuracy, confidentiality and proper maintenance of programme records and documentation.

Reporting & Evaluation

• Prepare project updates, management reports and post-event evaluations.
• Track KPIs, marketing effectiveness, participation rates and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and future programme enhancements.

Key Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in event management, project management, marketing or stakeholder engagement.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale corporate events, conferences, award programmes or business initiatives.
• Experience working with senior executives, government representatives and industry leaders is highly desirable.
