Job summary

UPS Supply Chain Solutions is seeking a Project Engineering Supervisor to lead low to moderate complexity construction projects at our facilities. You will manage schedules, bids, vendor selection, and cost control while ensuring quality aligns with UPS standards.

This role is site-based and requires travel. Responsibilities include developing project schedules, evaluating bids, coordinating with vendors, and inspecting constructions to ensure safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or International equivalent in Engineering or related field with minimum 5 years relevant experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the project site language if different.
• Experience evaluating bid proposals and managing building construction or large industrial installations.
• Experience designing solutions for process improvement.
• Proficient in 2D AutoCAD.
• Willingness to work weekends and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Completes the bid package process to select competitive bids and vendors.
• Requests and evaluates bids and proposals and recommends contract awards.
• Develops project schedules to meet deadlines.
• Investigates mechanical breakdowns and system issues to maintain productivity.
• Identifies improvements for construction processes and design solutions.
• Maintains cost logs, processes invoices, and releases funds for project completion.
• Conducts construction inspections to ensure UPS standards and quality materials.
