Job summary

Yearfull Contracting Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Coordinator to support interior fitting-out and building projects. You will assist the team with drawings submissions, progress reports, and liaising with clients, consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or above in Building Services / Building Studies, with 3–5 years site experience. Junior positions available for less experienced candidates.

Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Coordinator

• Diploma or above in Building Services / Building Studies / Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Min. 3-5 years fitting-out or related site experience.
• Site experience in interior fitting-out / building construction projects is preferred.
• Candidates with less experience will be considered for a junior position.
• Assist project team in overall activities such as submitting drawings and materials, preparing progress reports, liaising and communicating with clients, consultants, sub-contractors, and suppliers, etc.
• Self-motivated, responsible, independent, and hardworking.
• Certificate or relevant academic qualification is preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years of site experience in interior fitting-out or building construction projects is preferred
• Candidates with less experience will be considered for a junior position
• Liaise and coordinate with sub-contractors on site works, logistics, safety, etc.
• Basic computer skills in MS Office (including Excel)
• Monitor day to day site construction/ operation matters and provide proper site control
• Coordinate and liaise with internal and external parties for progress of works
• Attend client /main contractor site walk and meeting when required
• Supervisor and motivate the site staff to ensure the project running smooth
• Site working experience on monitoring sub-contractor installation progress according to the layout drawing
• Min. 8 years site experience in interior fitting-out project / building construction project

Responsibilities

• Liaise with the consultant design teams/subcontractors to deliver the construction drawings in line with the construction programmes
• Liaise with subcontractors and establish workable details for shop drawing submissions
• Lead drafting team for drawing preparation and submission
• Reviewing technical drawing to identify discrepancies and raise RFI
• Issue subcontractors and consultants with all information, drawings and packages
• Maintain a register of any design changes, liaise with project team to ensure that the costs report is maintained
• Attend main contractor/consultant meetings when required

Requirements

• Min. 5-8 years working experience in fitting-out and related field
• Diploma or Certificate in interior design / architecture / mechanical or relevant disciplines preferred
• Mature, team-player and able to task-oriented with good time management
• Independent, self-motivated and willing to learn
• Experience in hospitality and shopping mall project highly prefer
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office
• Proficient in 3D AutoCAD will be an advantage
• Knowledge in BIM, Revit or 3D design software will be an advantage
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Design Coordinator

Key Job Responsibilities

• Tender & Proposal Management: Analyze project plans, drawings, and specifications to develop detailed cost estimates and prepare technical/commercial submissions.
• Cost Control & Budgeting: Evaluate tender submissions, and subcontractor pricing for tenders.
• Procurement & Negotiation: Coordinate with suppliers/subcontractors for competitive pricing and handle tender negotiations.
• Strategy & Analysis: Review existing pricing methodologies to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

• Education: Higher Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Studies, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in estimation, tender preparation, or quantity surveying, often with specific experience in fitting-out.
• Skills: Strong analytical ability, proficiency in Excel, minor knowledge of E&M, understanding of local building regulations, and good communication skills to interact with clients and consultants. Full understanding of tender procedure.
• Having experience in both Hong Kong and Macau would be an advantage.
