Job summary

Yearfull Contracting Limited is a leading Interior Fitting-Out Contractor based in Hong Kong. We are seeking an experienced design coordinator to liaise with consultant teams, manage shop drawing submissions and lead the drafting team.

Candidate should have 5–8 years in interior fitting-out, strong AutoCAD/MS Office skills, and BIM/Revit knowledge. Hospitality/mall project experience is highly preferred; junior roles available for less-experienced candidates.

Qualifications

• Min 5-8 years in interior fitting-out or related field.
• Diploma or certificate in interior design/architecture preferred.
• Hospitality and shopping mall project experience preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office; BIM/Revit knowledge a plus.
• Mature, team-oriented, with good time management and reliability.
• Self-motivated, independent and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with consultant design teams and subcontractors to deliver drawings per programmes.
• Coordinate shop drawing submissions with subcontractors; establish workable details.
• Lead drafting team for drawing preparation and submission.
• Review drawings to identify discrepancies and raise RFIs.
• Issue information and drawings to subcontractors/consultants in a timely manner.
• Maintain design change register; liaise with project team on cost reporting.
• Attend main contractor/consultant meetings as required.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors on site works, logistics and safety.

Job description

Liaise with the consultant design teams/subcontractors to deliver the construction drawings in line with the construction programmes

Liaise with subcontractors and establish workable details for shop drawing submissions

Lead drafting team for drawing preparation and submission

Reviewing technical drawing to identify discrepancies and raise RFI

Issue subcontractors and consultants with all information, drawings and packages

Maintain a register of any design changes, liaise with project team to ensure that the costs report is maintained

Attend main contractor/consultant meetings when required

Requirements

• Min. 5-8 years working experience in fitting-out and related field


• Diploma or Certificate in interior design / architecture / mechanical or relevant disciplines preferred


• Mature, team-player and able to task-oriented with good time management


• Independent, self-motivated and willing to learn


• Experience in hospitality and shopping mall project highly prefer


• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office


• Proficient in 3D AutoCAD will be an advantage but not a must


• Knowledge in BIM, Revit or 3D design software will be an advantage


• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Design Coordinator


• Certificate or relevant academic qualification is preferred


• Minimum 3–5 years of site experience in interior fitting-out or building construction projects is preferred


• Candidates with less experience will be considered for a junior position


• Liaise and coordinate with sub-contractors on site works, logistics, safety, etc.


• Self-motivated, responsible, independent, and hardworking


• Basic computer skills in MS Office (including Excel)
