Job summary

The GMP Group is seeking a Production Planner to support daily planning, coordination, and monitoring of manufacturing activities. You will prepare production schedules, monitor inventory, and coordinate with production, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure smooth delivery.

Responsibilities include tracking KPIs, identifying bottlenecks, and driving continuous improvement while adhering to safety and quality standards. Walk-in interviews in KL are indicated.

Qualifications

  • NITEC or higher diploma in a related field.
  • Experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

  • Assist in preparing, updating, and maintaining daily and weekly production schedules based on customer orders and production capacity.
  • Ensure smooth flow of materials and components throughout the production process.
  • Adjust schedules when necessary due to material shortages, machine downtime, or changes in demand.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to ensure timely availability of raw materials and parts.
  • Work closely with the production team to check capacity availability and resource usage.
  • Provide schedule updates to production, procurement, and sales teams.
  • Highlight production delays, potential bottlenecks, or risks to relevant departments.
  • Track production output, efficiency, and quality-related key performance indicators.
  • Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and help reduce waste, delays, or unnecessary costs.
  • Assist in implementing contingency plans during disruptions such as machine breakdowns or manpower issues.
  • Ensure planning activities adhere to safety, quality, and company compliance standards.
  • Prepare basic production reports and documentation for internal review.

Job Description

The incumbent is to supports daily planning, coordination, and monitoring of manufacturing activities to ensure production runs smoothly, meets customer demand, and follows schedule. The role involves preparing production schedules, monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with production and purchasing teams, tracking production performance, and assisting in resolving issues that may affect output or delivery. This position plays an essential role in maintaining efficient workflow on the shop floor.

Job Requirements

    • Morning Shift: SGD 100/month
    • Night Shift: SGD 400/month
    • Night Shift Meal Allowance: SGD 100/month
  • Transport: Provided (JB – SG – JB)
  • Tentative pickup route: Kulai / Senai – Singapore
Working hours
  • Morning Shift: 7:20 AM – 7:20 PM
  • Breaks: 11:20 AM – 12:20 PM, 4:20 PM – 5:20 PM
  • Night Shift: 7:20 PM – 7:20 AM
  • Breaks: 11:20 PM – 12:20 AM, 4:20 AM – 5:20 AM
