Job summary

Anko Sourcing is the direct sourcing arm for Kmart and Target. We are seeking a Production Merchandiser for GM Food, Events & Beauty who will manage the order and supplier activities for beauty-related products.

You will build strong relationships with buyers and suppliers, monitor the critical path, and drive supplier improvements while ensuring quality and safety standards. Proficiency in Cantonese, English and Mandarin, plus MS Office, is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of solid merchandising experience in General Merchandise & consumable categories.
• Excellent Cantonese, English and Mandarin communication.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise end-to-end development, pricing, sampling, production and shipping.
• Build strong relationships with buyers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and monitor production stages.
• Identify supplier improvements and drive implementation plans.
• Test samples and coordinate with Quality on function and safety standards.
• Maintain merchandising systems for accurate production statuses.
• Define department plans, prioritize, and drive relevant projects.
• Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned.

We are now looking for a Production Merchandiser for our GM Food, Events & Beauty who will be responsible for the order & suppliers management of Beauty-related products.

Job Accountabilities

• Responsible for merchandising activities including product development, price negotiation, sampling, production, shipment, etc
• Build and maintain strong relationship with buyers, supplies and internal parties
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on time delivery and to monitor process at different stages of the critical path
• Identify potential suppliers’ improvement opportunity and govern the improvement plan implementation
• Perform sample testing and work closely with Quality team on product requirement in terms of functionality and safety standard
• Maintain merchandising systems to ensure production statuses are accurate
• Define the department level plan and prioritization and execute the projects when relevant
• Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned

Job Requirements

• Diploma or above in relevant field
• Minimum 3 years of solid merchandising experience in General Merchandise & consumable categories, preferably in sizable buying office
• Sound knowledge on product, market and merchandising systems and procedures
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skill to liaison between buyers and factories
• Proven experience to be able to work with overseas buyers independently
• Good time management, proactive and able to work under pressure
• Excellent communication skills in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
• Proficiency in MS Office and computer knowledge
