Protective Industrial Products Hong Kong Limited is seeking an experienced Product Sourcing Specialist to own the procurement of head and hearing safety products. You will manage global supplier relationships, drive cost optimization, and ensure quality across international markets.

You will lead end-to-end sourcing, negotiate MOQs and terms, and collaborate with product development and QA teams to meet regulatory standards. Occasional international travel is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of sourcing/procurement experience focused on head and hearing safety products.
Experience in international companies or global trading environments.
Fluency in written and spoken English; ability to negotiate with overseas counterparts.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Deep understanding of safety product standards, manufacturing processes, and QC.
Excellent communication and cross-cultural collaboration abilities.
Willingness to undertake occasional international travel.

Responsabilités

Lead end-to-end sourcing, procurement, and merchandising for head and hearing safety products.
Identify, onboard, and manage global suppliers; monitor performance and lead times.
Negotiate pricing, MOQs, payment terms, and delivery schedules with overseas suppliers.
Coordinate with overseas counterparts, product teams, and stakeholders on timelines and inventory.
Coordinate testing and certifications with QA to meet safety standards.
Monitor PPE market trends, pricing, and technology to spot opportunities and mitigate risks.
Travel internationally for supplier visits, audits, quality inspections, and trade shows.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and dynamic Product Sourcing Specialist to join our team at Protective Industrial Products (Hong Kong) Limited. In this role, you will take ownership of the sourcing, procurement, and merchandising processes specifically focused on head and hearing safety products. You will act as a key liaison between our company and global suppliers, driving supply chain efficiency, cost optimization, and rigorous quality standards for international markets.

Key responsibilities

Drive the end-to-end sourcing, procurement, and merchandising lifecycle for head and hearing safety products, ensuring a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard global suppliers and manufacturers. Build and maintain strong vendor relationships while monitoring supplier performance, lead times, and compliance with international safety standards.
Negotiate competitive pricing, Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs), payment terms, and delivery schedules with overseas suppliers to maximize profitability.
Communicate and coordinate independently with overseas counterparts, internal product development teams, and global stakeholders to align on project timelines and inventory needs.
Partner with quality assurance teams to review product samples, coordinate testing and certifications, and ensure all head and hearing safety products meet stringent regulatory requirements.
Monitor industry trends, material pricing, and technological advancements within the personal protective equipment (PPE) sector to identify new product opportunities and mitigate supply risks.
Undertake occasional international business travel for supplier visits, factory audits, quality inspections, and global industry trade shows.

About you

Bachelor's degree holder in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or merchandising focusing specifically on head and hearing safety products within international companies or global trading environments.
Fluency in written and spoken English, with demonstrated experience working and negotiating with overseas counterparts independently.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Deep understanding of safety product standards, manufacturing processes, and quality control.
Excellent communication and cross-cultural collaboration abilities.
Flexibility and willingness to undertake occasional international business travel as required.
