Job summary

ConnectedGroup is seeking a Product Development professional to join our team and drive seasonal concepts, coordinating with merchandising, material teams, and factories to support sample development.

You will translate trends into tangible samples, build mood/design decks, source materials, and manage timelines from factories to customers, ensuring timely delivery of fabrics and swatches each season and on request.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese + Mandarin).
• Familiarity with US apparel brands is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research upcoming fashion trends and translate insights into seasonal themes.
• Build trend decks, mood/design boards, and curated sample collections for customer presentations.
• Source materials and coordinate with internal teams and external partners to support the development process.
• Follow up daily with factories on sample development progress, timelines, and order-related enquiries.
• Prepare and organize product development samples, shipment samples, and fabric swatches each season and upon customer request.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and organize product development samples, shipment samples, and fabric swatches each season and upon customer request.

Requirements

• Degree holder (Fashion & Textiles or related preferred).
• 2+ years' experience in apparel product development.
• Strong fabric & trims knowledge; understanding of apparel manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with US apparel brands is a plus.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese + Mandarin).
