Job summary

Hong Kong Law Firm is seeking a Probate Manager to oversee probate, estate administration, wills, succession planning, trusts and wealth structuring. This newly created headcount requires an independent professional capable of building and leading a team as the function grows.

The ideal candidate will have extensive probate experience, strong English and Chinese communication skills, and a robust professional network.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in probate and estate administration.
• Independent worker with capacity to build and lead a team as the role grows.
• Qualifications such as TCSP and a strong network are advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese.

• Manage probate and estate administration matters from initial instruction to completion.
• Review case information and prepare clear plans for each estate matter.
• Prepare, review and organise probate and estate-related documents.
• Coordinate case progress with relevant parties to keep matters moving forward.

• Monitor key case stages and follow up on outstanding information.
• Provide practical updates on probate and estate matters to relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure estate matters are completed in an orderly and timely manner.

As a Probate Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

Profile

This role does not require a qualified lawyer, but instead a professional with solid years (10+) of experience in handling probate and estate administration work. As this role will be a newly created headcount for the business, it requires someone capable of working independently in handling matters, with the capability of building up and leading a team as the role grows. Relevant qualifications (such as TCSP) and a strong network will be advantageous, although not essential for this role. Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese will be required.
