Job summary

Qualifications

• MSc./M.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience with 3D CAD software and mechanical design.
• Basic experience with electric circuit measurement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous, organized, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Eager to learn, self-motivated, a strong team player with good communication skills and a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in supporting the Project Manager and Mechanical Engineer with the development and execution of Mechanical Engineering design, troubleshooting and testing of life science instrumentation.
• Gain hands-on experience by contributing to development, troubleshooting and testing of our products and services.
• Play an active role in taking concepts from CAD models to functional physical prototypes, ensuring high precision, reliability, and manufacturability.
• This traineeship offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners/suppliers, providing valuable exposure to real-world R&D projects.
• Assist in the development of design structural chassis, precision mechanisms, and enclosures for life science instruments.
• Design simple mechanical fixtures and assembly jigs to support build.
• Assist in developing a common test platform to evaluate reliability and performance of mechanical systems
• Generate reports and present findings to R&D and design teams
• Develop test jig to support testing and perform test to prove the design.
