Job Description

• Incubate and oversee the growing up of embedded engineering as part of product engineering in Product R&D, by envisaging product trend and market demand from emerging technology and tender requirement
• Create Business model for specific product, and partnership with suppliers, vendors, manufacturers, channels, in preparation for product development, from scratch to mass production and go to market.
• Mainly focused on Embedded software and hardware.
• Team also responsible to manage product BOM and ECN, and quality assure on incoming components, and outgoing products, presale, architect, and solutioning based on Group's home grown embedded systems.
• Build up a development team consisted of hardware / software / firmware / mechanical engineers with competency capable of innovation on embedded system for tenders or futuristic products.
• Result: formation of product engineering team.
• Envisage product trend and market demand from emerging technology, government feedback and tender requirement.
• Form partnership with key component suppliers, and manufacturers.
• Interchange product concept with internal / external customers, demonstrate the feasibility, and influence the tender spec.
• Drive product development from design to manufacture.
• Manage product data in systematic way.
• Form a testing and QA team, to qualify key components and developed product.

Job Requirements

• Degree or Master of Engineering or above.
• With experience to lead a team to develop embedded system product, hardware and software, from scratch, to mass produce more than 1000 units.
• 15+ years’ experience in OEM/ODM/EMS manufacturer or leading brand company.
• 5+ years’ experience in video / audio related product development.
• Manage 20+ people team more than 10 years.
• Convert customer pain points to market/product requirement, and able to sourcing cost effective key components and partners for the solution realization.
• Architect an embedded System per specification.
• Identify ID designer, key components for embedded system.
• Facilitate development of circuit, firmware, software application, and mechanical design. Test and trial, revise and mass production.
• Deliver end product by partnership with OEM manufacturer, software design house, and AI company.
• Product data management, from design to manufacture.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• Strong customer fronting and leadership skill.
