Job summary

Google Cloud is hiring a Practice Customer Engineer for Workspace and Gemini Enterprise in Hong Kong. This mid-level role focuses on driving technical engagements, delivering POCs, and helping customers leverage Google Workspace and Gemini to transform productivity at scale.

Applicants should have 6+ years in technical pre-sales with Cloud/SaaS, and hands-on experience with UC&C, identity solutions, SI/ISV ecosystems, and automation scripting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in a technical pre-sales role with Cloud or SaaS providers.
  • Experience with UC&C, enterprise productivity solutions, or identity solutions (e.g., Active Directory, Entra, MDM).
  • Experience with system integrators/service providers and ISVs.
  • Experience with scripting for automation, code development and low code/no code solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive customer technical engagements to address requirements and secure technical wins. Educate customers on Google Workspace and Gemini Enterprise to enable innovation.
  • Help customers develop AI practice with technology goals for creating solutions to elevate productivity.
  • Work with customers to understand requirements and pain points; develop solutions and proofs-of-concepts (POCs).
  • Advise on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and infrastructure; provide best-practice guidance.
  • Act as a technical advocate for Google Workspace partners and provide field feedback to Google Engineering.

Experience driving progress, solving problems, and mentoring more junior team members; deeper expertise and applied knowledge within relevant area.

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in a technical pre-sales role with Cloud or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) providers.
  • Experience with unified communications and collaboration (UC&C), enterprise productivity solutions, or identity solutions (e.g., Active Directory, Entra, and Mobility Device Management (MDM) software).
  • Experience with system integrators/service providers (SIs/CSPs) and independent software vendors (ISVs).
  • Experience with scripting for automation, code development and low code/no code solutions.
Preferred qualifications:

Experience working in a similar position (e.g., Technical Sales Engineer, Partner Engineer, etc.) in a cloud computing environment or equivalent experience in a customer or partner-facing role, including working as a member of a Professional Services, Solutions Architect or Systems Engineering team.

  • Experience in practice building.
  • Understanding of productivity technologies and how they can integrate with AI, IOT, A/V systems to deliver next-generation user experience.
  • Ability to articulate and present Gen AI, Google AI full stack value to executive audiences CxOs, Line of Business and technology stakeholders, of partners and customers’ organizations.

You will advise customers on deploying and governing a team of AI agents, built by Google, partners, or the customers themselves, to ensure high-value automation at an organizational scale while maintaining enterprise-grade security and compliance.

  • Advise on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure to implement a complete solution, providing best practice advice to customers.
  • Act as a technical advocate within Google for Google Workspace technology partners and provide feedback from the field to Google Engineering teams on Google Workspace technologies.
