Job summary

Kohle Services Limited is seeking a proactive PR Officer to join our Marketing team in Hong Kong. You will lead overseas media relations, draft press materials, and coordinate with external agencies to strengthen our global brand and reputation.

You will also plan awards sponsorships, manage procurement processes, and monitor market sentiment across Mainland China and regional markets to deliver measurable PR outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant PR/communications experience.
• Overseas media pitching and vendor management experience.
• Strong English writing and editing skills; Cantonese/Mandarin advantageous.

Job description

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented PR Officer to join our Marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and executing strategic PR initiatives, developing strong overseas media relations, managing industry awards procurement, and overseeing third-party PR agencies to enhance our global brand image and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Overseas Media Relations & Communications

• Build, maintain, and expand relationships with key overseas media outlets, journalists, industry publications, and influential stakeholders.

• Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, pitch emails, media invitations, and PR materials under guidance.

• Plan and execute end-to-end media collaboration campaigns, exclusive interviews, and article placements across global target markets.

2. Awards Planning & Procurement

• Research, identify, and evaluate authoritative global industry awards, media recognitions, and commercial competitions that align with brand objectives.

• Manage the annual awards calendar and lead the procurement/sponsorship and submission process, including case study writing, document preparation, and follow-ups.

• Maximize the PR value of awards through social amplification, press announcements, and brand credential usage.

3. Third-Party PR Agency Management & Procurement

• Participate in the procurement, sourcing, fee negotiation, and contract management of external PR agencies, wire services, and regional vendors.

• Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for external PR agencies, setting clear project scopes, KPIs, and deliverables.

• Monitor agency performance, review campaign reports, and ensure all agency deliverables meet brand standards and budget requirements.

4. PR Planning & Execution (Mainland China & Regional Markets)

• Plan and execute PR strategies to enhance the company's brand image, with a strong focus on Mainland China and surrounding key markets.

• Work closely with the internal marketing team to align PR messages across social media platforms and digital channels.

• Manage article planning, layout, and publishing across diverse PR and media channels.

5. Market Monitoring & Reporting

• Conduct basic market and media monitoring to track brand mentions, public sentiment, and competitors’ PR activities.

• Prepare periodic coverage reports, ROI assessments, and actionable recommendations for strategy improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in PR, corporate communications, media relations, or marketing agency environments.

• Overseas & Agency Experience: Proven experience with global/overseas media pitching, agency procurement, and vendor management.

• Language Skills: Native or business-fluent written and verbal English skills (ability to draft press materials independently); proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is a strong advantage.

• Writing & Communication: Strong written communication skills with acute media intuition and persuasive pitch writing abilities.

• Project Management: Outstanding organizational skills, ability to manage procurement workflows, keep track of submission deadlines, and coordinate across multiple external parties.
