Job summary

Cutting Edge Recruitment in Hong Kong is seeking a talented Chef de Partie to join a Peruvian restaurant's kitchen. You will oversee a designated section, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste and presentation.

You will report to the Head Chef, work closely with the team and help train junior chefs. The role requires resilience in a fast-paced environment, a strong knowledge of Peruvian ingredients, and flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Chef de Partie, ideally within a Peruvian restaurant.
• Excellent knowledge of Peruvian cuisine, cooking techniques and ingredients.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train junior chefs.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and plate dishes in your designated section of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
• Follow recipes and instructions accurately to ensure consistency and quality of dishes.
• Supervise and support junior chefs in your section, providing guidance and training when necessary.
• Ensure that all food items are stored and handled safely and hygienically in accordance with food safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist with ordering and stock control to ensure that the kitchen is always adequately supplied with ingredients.
• Take responsibility for the cleanliness and maintenance of your section of the kitchen, ensuring that all equipment is cleaned, sanitized and properly maintained.
• Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
