Job summary

Korean International School in Hong Kong invites an outstanding Teacher of Physical Education to deliver PE across KS3–KS5, including GCSE/IGCSE and A‑Level PE. The role includes leading the PE department, curriculum planning, and a strong focus on safeguarding, high-quality teaching, and a vibrant co-curricular programme.

You will also serve as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral support and building a collaborative, high-performing team focused on improving pupil outcomes and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• PGCE/PGDE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Honours degree in Physical Education or related field.
• Experience teaching PE across KS3–KS5, GCSE/IGCSE and AS/A‑Level.
• Experience leading or developing PE provision or readiness for leadership.
• Experience of working in an international school context.
• Knowledge of Cambridge, Edexcel or AQA PE specifications.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development of the PE department and curriculum across KS3–KS5.
• Teach PE across KS3–KS5, including GCSE/IGCSE and AS/A‑Level.
• Lead assessment, recording and reporting within the department.
• Line manage and develop PE teaching staff and support CPD.
• Coordinate a broad co-curricular sports programme and trips.
• Oversee PE facilities, budget and safety policies.
