Job summary

Binance in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Product Manager to own the design and roadmap of the payment middle platform, order system and clearing module, driving backend capabilities for a global fiat payment platform.

You will lead end-to-end lifecycle management, align with engineering, risk and finance, and push for scalable, multi-region payment solutions across PSPs, banks, and local methods, while owning metrics and reliability.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of product management experience, preferably in payments/fintech.
• Strong experience in payment systems such as payment orchestration, transaction platforms, or cashier/back-end payment systems.
• Deep understanding of payment lifecycle, including routing, retries, success rate optimization, and failure handling.
• Familiarity with backend system design and APIs; comfortable working with engineering on architecture.
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with metrics-driven decisions.
• Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects in global/multi-region settings.
• Strong ownership, structured thinking, and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for product design and iteration of the payment middle platform, order system, and clearing module in Europe and Latin America.
• Drive the product development roadmap and execution for the global fiat payment platform, focusing on backend capabilities.
• Lead the full lifecycle management system for orders: creation, status transitions, timeouts, reconciliation.
• Design the clearing system: T+0/T+1, multi-currency reconciliation, error handling, fund verification.
• Recommend integration strategy for global payment channels (PSPs, bank rails, local methods).
• Build and optimize core modules, including transaction lifecycle, latency reduction, and failure handling.
• Partner with engineering, risk, compliance, and finance to design robust settlement and fund flow systems.
• Drive platform-wide improvements for global scalability (multi-region, localization, abstraction).
• Define and monitor key metrics (success rate, latency, reliability) and optimize via data/experiments.
• Collaborate with wallet/account/growth teams to integrate payment capabilities across ecosystem.
• Act as an individual contributor, identifying gaps and driving end-to-end execution in a complex environment.

• Drive the product development roadmap, and execution for the global fiat payment platform, focusing on backend capabilities.
• Lead the design of the full lifecycle management system for orders: order creation, status transition, timeout handling, and reconciliation closed loop.
• Design the clearing system: T+0/T+1 settlement schemes, multi-currency reconciliation rules, error handling, and fund verification.
• Recommend integration strategy for global payment channels (PSPs, bank rails, local payment methods), ensuring scalable and standardized integration frameworks.
• Build and optimize core system modules, including transaction lifecycle management, success rate optimization, latency reduction, and failure handling.
• Partner with engineering, risk, compliance, and finance teams to design robust systems for settlement, reconciliation, and fund flow management.
• Drive platform-level improvements to support global scalability, including multi-region architecture, localization frameworks, and system abstraction.
• Define and monitor key system metrics (e.g., success rate, latency, reliability), and drive continuous optimization through data and experimentation.
• Collaborate with internal product teams (e.g., wallet, account, growth infrastructure) to ensure seamless integration of payment capabilities across the ecosystem.
• Act as a strong individual contributor, proactively identifying system gaps and driving end-to-end execution in a complex environment.

Requirements

• 6-10+ years of product management experience, preferably in payments, fintech, or platform/infrastructure products.
• Strong experience in payment systems such as payment orchestration, transaction platforms, or cashier/back-end payment systems.
• Deep understanding of payment lifecycle, including routing, retries, success rate optimization, and failure handling.
• Familiarity with backend system design and APIs; comfortable working closely with engineering teams on system architecture.
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with experience using metrics to guide product decisions.
• Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects in a global or multi-region environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with global payment methods and bank rails (e.g. ACH, SEPA, FPS, PIX, UPI) or large-scale PSP integrations.
• Understanding of settlement, reconciliation, ledger systems, or fund flow design.
• Familiar with settlement models (gross/net), T+N clearing cycles, and foreign exchange processing logic.
• Experience in transaction platforms, wallet systems, or payment infrastructure.
• Exposure to Web3 / crypto / exchange products, or strong interest in the space.
• Experience working on high-throughput, high-reliability backend systems.
