Job summary

Evonet Global is seeking a hands-on Payment Operations Manager to manage card scheme relationships, scheme compliance, and data-driven reporting from our Hong Kong office. You will collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Partnerships to ensure timely resolutions and robust operational controls.

The role offers a high-visibility platform, mentorship from senior leadership, and opportunities to scale operations as the company expands across Asia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Finance
• 3-5 years of experience in payment operations or related fintech/banking ops
• Working knowledge of scheme rules and chargeback/dispute processes (plus)
• Comfortable with SQL or data querying tools for basic reporting; strong Excel
• Strong written and verbal English and Cantonese/Mandarin for stakeholders
• Startup mindset; comfortable with ambiguity and evolving processes
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to grow into leadership responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational point of contact for card scheme matters (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, UnionPay, etc.) — tracking, reporting submissions, escalations, and rule-change monitoring
• Work with the Partnership team on operational aspects of PSP and local payment method relationships
• Partner with Risk and Compliance to investigate, document, and resolve scheme violations, chargebacks, and dispute escalations within timelines
• Prepare and submit periodic operational/compliance reports to card schemes; monitor bulletins for impact
• Pull, analyze, and present data from internal platforms to support decision-making—transaction trends, decline reasons, scheme fee impact, fraud metrics
• Maintain and improve SOPs and audit-readiness across all card schemes and payment methods
• Support ad hoc projects in onboarding, product launches, and process automation as the function grows
