Bybit is hiring a backend engineer to develop and integrate payment transaction systems, assist in testing with banks, optimize the payment system, and monitor issues to ensure security and reliability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Familiar with Java programming and OO design.
• Basic understanding of the Spring framework.
• Web technologies: HTTP/HTTPS, RESTful APIs, JSON and XML.
• MySQL operations; transactions and index optimization; Git familiarity.
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving; excellent communication with Product and QA teams.
• Bonus: knowledge of payments, cryptography, or AI.

Responsibilities

• System Integration & Development: develop and integrate payment channel transaction systems; write and maintain technical documentation.
• Joint Testing & Deployment: assist in integration and test environment deployment with banks and third-party payment institutions.
• System Optimization: optimize the payment system codebase for performance and security.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: monitor transaction data and troubleshoot live system issues.

Job Responsibilities

• System Integration & Development: Develop and integrate payment channel transaction systems. Participate in the evolution of core functionalities, including payments, reconciliation, and OTC (Over-The-Counter). Write and maintain technical documentation.
• Joint Testing & Deployment: Assist in technical integration and test environment deployment with banks and third-party payment institutions. Analyze and resolve technical anomalies during the integration process.
• System Optimization: Participate in optimizing the payment system's codebase to enhance overall performance and stability. Assist in system upgrades focused on security and performance governance.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Assist in monitoring transaction data and analyzing failure cases. Help troubleshoot live system tickets and provide effective technical solutions.

Job Requirements

• Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science or a related field is highly preferred.
• Core Technical Skills: Familiar with Java programming and Object-Oriented Design (OOD); basic understanding of the Spring framework.
• Web Technologies: Solid understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocols, RESTful API design, and data formats such as JSON and XML.
• Database & Tools: Proficient in basic MySQL operations with an understanding of database transactions and index optimization. Familiar with Git version control.
• Soft Skills: Strong logical thinking with the ability to quickly identify and locate issues. Excellent communication skills to collaborate smoothly with Product and QA teams.
• Bonus Qualifications: Knowledge of the payment industry, cryptography, or AI technologies. Candidates with hands-on project or practical experience will be given priority.
