Bybit is seeking a senior backend engineer to contribute to the development and optimization of our OTC trading ecosystem. You will work on core systems including the Advertisement, Order, and User modules, ensuring high scalability and low latency in a high-concurrency environment.

The role emphasizes AI-driven features, automated dispute workflows, and robust architectural optimization using modern Java tech stacks. Hong Kong-based team collaboration and 24/7 multilingual support are possible.

Qualifications

• Must have strong Java backend development experience and Spring Boot/Spring Cloud.
• Solid SQL/MySQL indexing and Redis caching know-how.
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, networking.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Advertisement System (order book listings).
• Develop Order System and User System with scalable, low-latency design.
• Automate the appeal workflow for dispute risk management.
• Build AI-driven OTC Shopping Assistants using LLMs to optimize queries and recommendations.
• Tackle architecture challenges: data consistency, distributed locking, latency in high-concurrency contexts.

Responsibilities

As a core team member, you will be involved in the full-lifecycle development and optimization of our OTC trading ecosystem:

• Core System Development: Develop and maintain the Advertisement System (order book listing), Order System (matching engines and state machines), and User System (credit scoring).
• Dispute & Risk Management: Responsible for automating the appeal system workflow to ensure trading security and fairness.
• AI Engineering: Develop AI-driven OTC Shopping Assistants. Utilize LLMs to optimize user inquiries, product recommendations, and automated dispute prediction.
• Architecture Optimization: Solve challenges involving data consistency, distributed locking, and system latency in high-concurrency scenarios.

Requirements

Technical Skills (Hard Skills):

• Java Proficiency: Strong foundation in Java (Multi-threading, JVM, Collections), with a solid understanding of the Spring Boot / Spring Cloud ecosystem.
• Database Expertise: Proficient in SQL and MySQL index optimization; familiar with caching technologies like Redis.
• Computer Science Fundamentals: Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP).

Bonus Points (Let us know if you have these):

• AI Enthusiasm: Familiar with LangChain, Prompt Engineering, or experience integrating OpenAI/Anthropic APIs.
• FinTech/Trading Background: A strong interest or practical experience in Blockchain, C2C trading, or payment settlement processes.
