Deacons is seeking an IP department administrative assistant to support high-quality intellectual property services. The role involves preparing CN design filings, renewals, and client communications.
You will work with a team of experienced patent attorneys and lawyers, following templates and procedures, and be prepared to cover colleagues during peak periods, with a focus on accuracy and timely reminders.

Responsibilities
Assist with support and undertake IP administrative work including preparing CN design filings, renewals correspondence and reminders
Draft letters and attend to routine client communications
Work consistently and in accordance with templates and procedures
Team Work: be prepared to cover the duties of teammates during periods of absence or to reinforce specific teams including in CN patent filing and grant during surge activity periods
Experience in a high profile administrative role, working with time critical deadlines and holding organisational responsibilities
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma
Preferably 1 – 2 years relevant experience in administrative support role (candidates with less experience but clear administrative career objectives will also be considered)
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Self-motivated and eager to learn
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to work online
Relevant experience in legal firms; Intellectual Property experience highly advantageous
