Job summary

The ISF Academy is seeking a dedicated Squash Coach to support the Squad program within the ISF Foundation, Academy & Pre-School framework. You will conduct coaching for all levels, ensuring high-quality instruction while maintaining records and adapting to the timetable of co-curricular activities.

Applicants should have 2 years of squash teaching experience with children, a Level 1 coaching certificate, current first aid/CPR, and fluency in English or Putonghua.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience teaching squash to primary and secondary students (learn-to-play and competitive).
• Passion for teaching squash to young children.
• Level 1 Coach Certificate; advanced level preferred.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Knowledge of Hong Kong Squash junior development criteria (tournament schedule, entry rules, advancement rules).
• Fluency in English and/or Putonghua essential.
• Strong administrative skills with MS Office and Google platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide squash coaching to students at various levels to enhance skills.
• Keep accurate records and schedules for the program.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Squash.

Job description

Reporting to the Head of Squash and working closely with the Academy Sport Teams Department, this position will assist in the efficient and effective operation of the Squash program at The ISF Academy. Conduct lessons for all levels as per the Squash program. Maintain a consistent standard and ensure all programs achieve positive results.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide specific squash coaching to students to expand skills and elevate their games;
• Keep accurate records and schedules; and
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Squash.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The above working hours may vary subject to the actual timetable of co-curricular activities.

Requirements:

• Have 2 years’ experience in teaching squash to primary and secondary school aged students, both ‘learn to play’ and competitive elements;
• Be passionate about teaching Squash to young children;
• Certificate for qualified Level 1 Coach; advanced level will be preferred;
• Possess current first aid and CPR certificate;
• Knowledge of Hong Kong Squash's acceptance criteria for its junior development program, including but not limited to tournament schedule, tournament entry rules, advancement rules;
• Fluency in English and/or Putonghua essential; and
• Strong administrative skills with excellent command of Microsoft office and Google platform.
