Britannia Gateway in Hong Kong is seeking part-time Science and Mathematics tutors to provide personalised, one-to-one tuition for students following international curricula (GCSE, A-Level, IB). The role focuses on face-to-face lessons at our Causeway Bay centre on weekdays from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with online lessons possible depending on needs and availability.

Britannia Gateway is seeking Science and Mathematics tutors to deliver personalised, one-to-one tuition for students following international curricula.

Our current priority is tutors who can teach face-to-face at our Causeway Bay centre on weekdays, particularly between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Online lessons may also be arranged according to students’ needs and tutors’ availability.

Subjects

Applicants may specialise in one or more subjects.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons tailored to each student’s academic level, learning needs and examination goals.

Prepare suitable teaching materials, exercises and homework.

Strengthen students’ subject knowledge, problem-solving skills and examination techniques.

Submit clear lesson reports within 24 hours after each lesson.

Communicate students’ progress and any concerns to the Gateway team.

Currently based in Hong Kong and available for face-to-face teaching at our Causeway Bay centre.

Fluent in English and Cantonese, with the ability to deliver lessons confidently in English.

A completed university degree in a relevant discipline.

A UK educational background and/or substantial experience teaching UK curricula.

Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with GCSE/IGCSE, A-Level and/or IB curricula and assessment requirements.

Regular weekday availability for face-to-face lessons, particularly between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm.

Ability to deliver online lessons when required, at mutually agreed times.

A professional, reliable and student-focused approach.

Previous tutoring or classroom teaching experience in the relevant subjects and examination boards is strongly preferred.

Team support with scheduling, student and parent communication, and administrative coordination.

A tutor handbook and a short onboarding session covering our procedures and teaching platform.

Teaching hours depend on student demand and suitable lesson assignments. Fixed weekly hours are not guaranteed.
