Job summary

Tetra Consultants in Hong Kong is seeking a part-time Compliance Officer/MLRO to help build a world-class AML/CFT program for an MSO licensing project. The role focuses on regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and liaison with authorities.

Applicants should have HK regulatory knowledge, 3–5 years in AML, and fluent English and Chinese. Remote-friendly with occasional on-site meetings in HK.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of payments, banking, fintech, or AML compliance experience.
• Deep knowledge of Hong Kong AML/CFT regulations (Cap. 615 AMLO, CED guidelines).
• Willingness to pass the CO Competence Assessment mandated by HK C&ED.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HK Cap. 615 AMLO and C&ED guidelines at policy level.
• Lead or assist MSO license applications/renewals and related materials.
• Establish standards for transaction monitoring, screening, and alert handling.
• Review STRs and liaise with JFIU and regulatory authorities.
• Provide compliance guidance to Risk, Legal, and Operations teams.
• Organize AML/CFT training and report monthly compliance updates.
