Selby Jennings in Hong Kong seeks a highly motivated Derivatives Trader to join our Derivatives Trading Department. The role focuses on OTC derivatives, structured products, or yield-enhancement products to drive trading, risk management, and product innovation across onshore and offshore markets.

You will manage day-to-day trading, price and execute, develop strategies, perform stress tests, and collaborate with Risk Management and Compliance to ensure controls.

Qualificações

• Master's degree or above in a quantitative discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of derivatives trading experience.
• Experience with OTC derivatives, structured products or yield certificates.

Responsabilidades

• Manage day-to-day trading of OTC derivatives and structured products, including pricing, execution and risk analysis.

• Monitor markets and regulatory developments affecting derivatives businesses.

We are seeking a highly motivated Derivatives Trader to join our Derivatives Trading Department. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in OTC derivatives, structured products, or yield-enhancement products to play a key role in trading, risk management, product innovation, and business expansion across onshore and offshore markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day trading activities of OTC derivatives and structured products, including pricing, execution, portfolio management and risk analysis.
• Develop, implement, and enhance derivatives trading strategies to optimize risk-adjusted returns.
• Conduct regular stress testing, scenario analysis, and risk assessments in close collaboration with Risk Management and Compliance teams.
• Monitor domestic and international financial markets, maintaining a strong understanding of regulatory developments and market dynamics impacting derivatives businesses.
• Participate in the structuring, pricing and execution of both onshore and offshore derivatives transactions.
• Support the development and launch of new OTC derivatives products and trading solutions to expand the firm's product offering and client franchise.
• Identify market opportunities and contribute to the growth and diversification of the firm's derivatives business.
• Ensure all trading activities adhere to internal risk controls, regulatory requirements and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Master's degree or above in Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in derivatives trading, structured products, yield-enhancement certificates or related financial products.
• Demonstrated experience within OTC derivatives, structured products or yield certificate businesses at a securities firm, investment bank or futures risk management subsidiary.
• Strong understanding of derivatives pricing, risk management methodologies and market regulations.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to make sound trading decisions in a dynamic market environment.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and ethical standards.
• Strong communication, execution and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
