Not disclosed, a Hong Kong IT services provider, is seeking a Middleware Engineer focused on Oracle Middleware. The role involves administration and support for Oracle middleware with exposure to DB2 and Sybase databases to ensure seamless integration for critical banking applications.

Key tasks include installing and maintaining Oracle middleware components (WebLogic, SOA Suite), managing deployments and clustering, and monitoring performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on middleware engineering with Oracle Middleware technologies.
• Solid experience supporting and administering DB2 and Sybase databases.
• Good knowledge of UNIX/Linux administration and shell scripting.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in fast-paced environments.
• Fluent English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) communication.
• Experience with IBM MQ and Tibco EMS.
• Exposure to AWS/Azure and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Git).

Responsabilités

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle middleware components (WebLogic, SOA Suite, Oracle Fusion Middleware).
• Manage deployments, clustering, and high-availability configurations.
• Monitor and optimize middleware performance for scalability and reliability.
• Support DB2 and Sybase integration for enterprise apps.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and query optimization issues.
• Collaborate with DBAs to ensure secure data flow.
• Provide incident response and root-cause analysis for middleware issues.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and deployment guides.
• Ensure security patching and vulnerability management.
• Work with developers, infrastructure teams, and vendors to deliver integrated solutions.
• Participate in project planning, requirements analysis, and solution design.
• Provide mentoring to junior engineers.
