Job summary

Swing Consulting Ltd. in Hong Kong is seeking a Middleware Engineer for a bank/finance context. The role focuses on designing and deploying enterprise messaging systems, and collaborating with developers and business analysts on design and coding activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience with middleware and SOA technologies.
• Strong understanding of messaging concepts, including pub/sub, point-to-point, and MQ infrastructure objects.
• Hands-on experience with MQ installation, migration, and configuration.
• In-depth expertise in middleware solutions.
• Ability to create technical documentation and provide deployment support.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet strict project deadlines.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills in written and spoken Chinese and English.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy enterprise messaging systems.
• Collaborate with technology team members, including developers and business analysts, for design and coding activities.
• Design and support message flow development.
• Understand, analyze, and collect business requirements from users.
• Provide subject matter expertise for standards, best practices, security-related threats, and vulnerabilities pertaining to the middleware infrastructure.
• Build a reusable foundation for future connectivity requirements.
• Proactively manage the workload of assigned team resources to achieve management-determined efficiencies.
• Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot MQSeries.
