Role Description
The Operations Manager / Coordinator will support the day-to-day running of the brokerage by handling general administration, coordinating internal training, and liaising with insurers and distribution partners. The role reports directly to senior management. Candidates who are also willing to contribute to business development are welcome and will be given additional incentive arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle general office administration, documentation and internal workflow
- Coordinate onboarding, product and compliance training for the sales team
- Liaise with insurance companies, suppliers and distribution partners on operational matters (submissions, underwriting follow-up, commission and servicing)
- Support policy administration, case tracking and client servicing
- Assist with compliance, KYC/AML and regulatory documentation
- Prepare internal reports, meeting materials and management updates
- Coordinate company events, seminars and client activities
- Where interested and capable, participate in business development and client servicing (separate incentive scheme applies)
Requirements
- Form 5 or above; Degree holder preferred
- 3 years or above of experience in insurance, financial services or professional services administration; candidates with insurance broker / agency back-office experience are preferred
- IIQE Paper 1, 2, 3 (and Paper 5 if applicable) holder is a plus; willingness to obtain the licences is required
- Strong sense of responsibility, well-organised, detail-oriented and able to multitask
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable dealing with insurers, partners and internal teams
- Proficient in English and Chinese (Cantonese required; Mandarin is a plus)
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiar with common cloud tools (Google Drive, WeChat, WhatsApp)
