Job summary

WeLab is seeking a senior Operational Risk professional to lead the Bank's ORMF and resilience program in a fast-paced environment. You will drive risk identification, assessment, and reporting, coordinating across control owners and governance forums to ensure effective risk management.

The role requires strong knowledge of HKMA guidelines, solid data analysis skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders while delivering pragmatic solutions within tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial services or consulting with a focus on operational risk management, internal controls, or audit.
• Certifications such as AORP or CORP are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain ORMF and operational resilience framework with policies and tools.
• Assess adequacy and effectiveness of controls and provide enhancement recommendations per HKMA guidelines.
• Lead RCSA and KRI frameworks, improving risk identification, assessment methodologies and monitoring.
• Oversee review and analysis of risk events; perform root cause analysis and implement mitigations.
• Monitor risk issues, audit findings and management actions to ensure remediation and escalation.
• Provide risk advisory input for product due diligence and new initiatives to business units.
• Maintain high-quality risk data repositories for insights and decision-making.
• Prepare timely risk reports for senior management and governance forums.
